I write poetry as a release for all the pent emotions I store. I've always had trouble with writing poetry that follows a guideline or rule.
I write because it comes naturally. I don't wanna overcomplicate things with rules and stanzas because for me it takes all the fun out of writing.
I love reading poets like Sylvia Plath, and Pablo Neruda... and I have a deep respect for the honesty in the lyrics of Conor Oberst + Elliott Smith.
Whether right or wrong, I seem to be living life by this quote lately...
"If you expect nothing from somebody, you are never disappointed."
-Sylvia Plath

on I’d Offer You Some, But I Don’t Want to Get Too Close Because You Smell Funny by ravenontheleft, on April 25I like the last bit about the fruit roll-ups
I think its a fun poem, and its written nicely. Poetry doesn't always have to be serious.
