Last year it really stink that there was no NHL cuz of a lockout with the salary cap. I was so mad that I couldn't go to Philly, Pittsburg,and New Jersey to see a few games. You had many players from the NHL who were playing the the AHL teams and some went overseas to play hockey. Now with the lockout over and the seasom is gonna start, I am very happy to attend the games and was surprised with some players leaving one team to another which you couldn't picture being there. If there was no lockout last year, I wondered what teams would of played in playoffs and the 2 final teams to win the Stanely Cup. All I can say is that thank goodness its over and its gonna be hockey season this season!

I think the lockout actually improved the NHL. Sure we missed a season but with the new salary caps in place the teams will be much fairer.

I think that rookie hockey player from the Washington Caps is pretty darn good yet I dont hear him whinning like that so called hight risinr rookie, that Sidney Crosby kid,lets say he has been saying a few nasty thigns at the games and while hes whinning and cursing up a storm, it makes me wonder with the young kids are hearing what words this "rookie kid" says. It seems the rookie from the Caps is handling himself greatly yet he will be going to all-stars later down the road. As for that other one from Pitt, it is really sad how Pitt grabbed him and demanded everything from that Sidney kid. What the heck was Pitt thinking of? Well,I heard that the Pitt Pens might be heading to Kanasas City or mid west. I hope that wonderful Sidney knows that there is other young nhl rookies out there besides he is thinking he is the only one but hes not. Rangers have a good few rookies and that goalie is really something else. If Crosby gets rookie of the year, that will be so sad for the nhl.

I hope the penguins come to KC.... why should the hockey team be fair? in many ways even before strict salary caps they were... because you had a select type of player for a team as in heavy hitting red wings on defense, power shots from philly or st louis, or speed from any number of teams. All the salary cap really does is force teams to become more rounded, but teams like the san jose sharks have always been fairly well rounded(even though one of my favorite players got traded this year)
