I respect all people and all religions.
The main problem with religion is that they are taken too seriously.
Fanaticism is one of the black holes of the mind that causes a lot of suffering in this world.
One main teaching in Buddhism is that what you believe is not really important. If your beliefs help you in a positive way then that is all that matters. -

i am agnostic
it is bacicly the same things as being an athesit except that athests just dont believe in a god where i do not believe in a god because i need proof that is not there and i never think will be. it is hard not believeing in god. none of my famly likes the idea and acts as though i still believe in god. and then i go to an episcopal school and have to got o church once a week with most people that believe in a god. i enter a lot of debates that have to so with religion. i believe that religion is really a waist of time though. becuse with every religon i has seen fanatics. oh and something that relly bugs me is when people try to convert me. most of those are my friends. well jsut one. and it really just buggs me cause i dont say anything about her eing christian, so why does she have to bug me about mine -
i am catholic
like lexiconsthedevil, i go to an episcopal school, which has only strengthened my catholic beliefs.
it has made me realize what my personal beliefs are.
but, in the same way i avoid talking about politics, i try not to get into the disscussion of religion with my friends.
i think everyone has their own beliefs, and it's not up to someone else to try and change their mind or convert them.
religion should be something of one's own choosing.
