To you I'm an atheist; to God, I'm the Loyal Opposition. "Woody Allen" .I don't love but respect GOD

well i love and respect God..the creater...the father of this world...ummm im a christian

I always say it's a bit like talking to people online. You can't ever really get strong feelings for someone until you spend time with them in person. I mean, if s/he wants to meet for a coffee sometime I might revise my opinion.

Hmmmm
I would like a clearer definition of "God" and "love." Both of these words have vast amounts of connotative baggage associated with them.
The way I'm tempted to answer this question just off the cuff is that what's not to love about a Being that if you believe in Him will let you live forever in bliss while torturing those you hate and envy or just simply don't share your opinions? It's like having the most powerful tyrant imaginable in your corner. -
ugh
i think views on god are personal and i resent some comments i've received that werent on poetry but on trying to convert me. i'm sure theres plenty of religious sites where you can share your faith with those of the same persuasion. I don't tell anyone who or what to believe in and i expect the same consideration. if i want to be saved i'll let you or someone know, until then lets stick to writing.

Hey dave, I feel you there.
But I find it a humorous irony that some bible basher gave you the gumption to go to a forum after I remember you applauding a poem where some guy was swinging some hooker by her ta-ta's while laughing maniacally "bwahhhhhhahhahahahahahahahahahahah" after pooping on her. I think you remember sac and his work.
Sorry, dave. But I couldn't help but point out the irony of how people so recoil from anything religious as an invasion of privacy, yet embrace deviancy as a glorified mantra of freedom of self-expression. Religious people have just as much right to express as do people on the opposite end of the spectrum. Personally, I enjoy it all, because it gives me a balanced view. I think tolerance is the key, for both sides.
