    personally, I don't want to be in a relationship. Too debilitating for me.

    It all depends on how im feeling at that point in my life. Right now i want a long term, but right after I've gotten out of a long term, I'll obviously want to have a short term, a fling, or something.

    A relation ...? A life ....

    Its not about being in a long or short relation.. there are certain relations that do not last long but they are too good. their memory smells sweet even after they are over... there are certain which last long and you have to just CARRY ON! So it does not depend on long or short but how beautiful you make it....

      I think your point of view is not only healthy and wise but rewarding. Relationships built on giving continue to enrich lives, and when giving is mutual, they are a lifelong joy. I know. I met my best friend when I was 12-- sixty-five years ago.

    Nothing better

    There is nothing better than having someone you trust lying next to you when you sleep (or in my case when you can't sleep). Nothing better than loving someone so much that you can't think of anyone else. Sometimes their's nothing worse either ...

    These poll results are skewed.

    This poll suffers from the fact that all the guys answering are members of a poetry website. It's like testing Americans' average IQ only from those exiting a library. Haha

    long term short term?

    if I'm going to start a real relationship with somebody I have the intent on that relationship lasting for as long as happily possible. That is why I am very picky, I know what I want and what I'm looking for and if the shoe doesn't fit why force it when you know your gonna get sick of the pain of cramping your toes and just take them off and give them away or throw them out. Plus just read what Raven said right above my comment. LoL it's all relative buddy
