1. Les Miserables
2. Chicago
3. Blood Brothers
Anyone else a fan of these? -
Yes!
I love musicals! I’ve only seen a few (Sound of Music, Annie, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Mary Poppins), but I’m crazy about all of them! There’s just something cool about getting big songs from musicals stuck in your head for hours.

Not to big on Musicals
I don’t watch a lot of musicals but I have seen a few. My grandma loves musicals so I watch them with her..I would have to say I have watched Moulin Rouge quite a bit..I am going to take my grandma to see the movie musical Rent when it comes out. -
Depends on the musical, but I enjoy them sometimes. Such as Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, and Les Miserables.

I quite enjoy musicals. I recently went to see the Woman in White (Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical) as part of my GCSE Drama syllabus, and it was really interesting. Has anyone else seen it?

These days I’ve been listening to a lot of March of the Falsettos, but I can listen to just about any musical. Fiddler on the Roof is one of my favorites, probably because I was a bottle dancer in my high school’s production of it.

I find that I sometimes enjoy musicals. There are many that I’ve loved, and watched/listened so often I just about know them by heart: Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Moulin Rouge. There are others that I’ve seen only a few times but found deeply moving in one way or another: Chicago and Blood Brothers. There are some that I like for no reason other than how enjoyable they are, a category which includes practically every Disney musical ever made, and things like Blues Brothers.
One or two I’ve seen and just not enjoyed: I didn’t particularly enjoy Fame or Miss Saigon. Might have just been an off day for me or for the cast.
But yes, musicals can be really excellent. Chicago and Moulin Rouge as films were particularly intriguing for the way they stretched the medium of film, I thought.

Let’s not forget phantom of the opera… -
Yes I love musicals, it’s just something about those songs that stick in your head, and when the big finale comes, it is amazing. I have done the sound and lighting design for a few musicals and am currently producing one called ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ at my college. Have any of you seen that one before? If so what do you think of it?
-
I had seen Jeykel and Hyde, The Lion King, Christmas show with the Rockets, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, The Odd Couple, Rent, Cats, and Greese.
-
Well, what kind of Musicals? The ones that are made for movies or the ones that were on Broadway (or off) before becoming a movie or never a movie?
I like West Side Story the best, the Broadway version and the movie version.
-
I liked Dawn Of The Dead musical, amazing
-
my top three are:
1. Thoroughly Modern Millie
2. Kiss Me Kate
3. The Lion King -
Singing in the Rain and West Side Story are the great ones that jump to mind at the moment. I've also been in school musicals like Guys and Dolls and Fiddler on the Roof (I was Yente the Matchmaker
). I have a tendency to like the musicals I've been in
.

Eh. I can't stand musicals and actually just wrote a poem about how much I dislike them. Y'all might want to check it out. I sometimes wish I could enjoy them but they seem to settle in my head like televised sports...I can ignore it for so long before I start getting irritated!
