he's a disgrace to poetry, a creep, and very negitive to everying, if you could please take this pedifile off your web site! Ask anybody and they will agree. thanks for reading my concerns of not only myself but to my fellow poets. -
I agree.
I thought he already was gone. Yours is not the first complaint. -
-
This web site needs to be better taken care of.
People like him make you wonder if he was abused as a child or if his parents were screwed up. Or if it's just his fault for the way he is. -
Everytime someone tries to log into their banned account, it shows them as being 'online', even though they are not online(it's been like that ever since I can remember, and the memberships act that way at Ap and SW, too). Again, for the umpteenth time, I have IMed Kevin to remove the poems in his archive. If you remember, I cannot do it, since there is no way to edit a poem from there. It has to be restored, and anytime I try to restore, it takes me to my archives. I IMed Kevin I first told you I would, and I've done it since. Kevin gets so many IMs per day that it is possible that he has missed the IMs. Perhaps you could contact someone instead of assuming.

Please Ban... Whoever...
Why should one ban Uncle Noodle? There are the most precious and
categorical arguments: "he's a pedophile" (if you want to confirm
this information, just "ask anyone and they will agree");
he's "a disgrace to poetry" ( how I wish to be sure if I am not
myself a disgrace to poetry... and I must confess: I've read so
many disgraces - according to my own standards, of course - called
"love poems" on this site and others...); "he's a creep" (I am sorry to
correct you, but intelectual Barbara has already provided us a new theoretical
framework for the comprehension of such a phenomenon - we no longer
call THEM "creeps", no: the precise concept is "trolls".) and "negative
to anything" (I must be straight on this: he is not negative to everything.
If you consult his page carefully, you'll find out that he has his own
favourites, like you and me! Isn't it too much: a creep - pardon - a troll
with his own favourites? What shall we do? Oh! I have the most efficient
idea: LET'S BAN THEM ALL!). However, today I am feeling solidary: I do
understand your concern and your higher-order enlightment and sensitivity
towards poetry, and I want by no means those gifts to suffer any damage
at all at the expenses of some dark, hard, insulting comments of other
poets on this site. No. I have a suggestion to minimize the effects of
Uncle Noodle on your life: place him on the "ignored poets" list, if you
want, as well as the other poets who are "creep, pedophile, disgraces and
negative" (my god! I can imagine the extension of such a list!). You may
find it terrible, but I do want to keep reading poems like that "Blood,
Shite and Piss", although they are not my favourite ones...
Actually,I prefer Byron. -

your discusting

I wish someone would write one for me, I challenge the notion that these poems are in any way offensive... unless one is an overly sensitive child, of course.

*This* is an example of what's got your panties in a twist?! Jesus Christ. Yeah, only a real man would react like a bloody baby about it.
¡Salud!

Not an explanation
I like crimes, those excitements of the human Guilt, which allows it to
produce wonderful things. Destruction, wars, killing or bullying are
necessary - I often do not yell this on the roads. This is my perception
of the world, perhaps a despairing one, but still the one which sounds
more plausible for me. Men are evil by nature; there is not such thing
as Goodness but in an effort to avoid, to recreate Evil. Sex is an
agression and I like it. Words are destructive and I love them. The world
is not divided in Trolls and non-Trolls categories, otherwise we would
simply ban everything we didn't fully understand or we didn't fully accepted.
I am glad to admire such a citizenship in this website. Let me just state
clear: I do not understand, and hope I'll never be able to, how one can
adopt such a labell as "Troll" to refer to some person with an opposite
conduct. Are you all sure about what defines a troll? I suggest you to
summon up a group and prepare a Ph.D thesis about "Being a Troll"... I'm
sure that would excite you to the every inch of your peaceful, good-minded,
good-willing, not-intrusive way of being.
And Mr(s). Plumeister, I must inform you about something:
my verbosity was at the same place yours was
before I posted this replying comment to Rodeocowgurl. Last, I do understand your concern: being sodomized with a toothbrush is as awful as being sodomized with anything at all. -
-
The Wild Things
Dear Mr. Plumeister,
I found your reply quite appropriate, well-written and not simply offensive.
I must recognize that. But I should also say that you stated my opinion in a
very different way, much more political, than what I tried to initially convey.
"I only care about what directly impacts my own personal happiness"??? - I
never said that. My first comment tried to clearly present the emptiness,
easiness and futility of the arguments which were evoked by Rodeocowgurl
to "ban" someone. You created a battle, when I was trying to present my
opinion obout extinguishing it. I do not want you, or anybody on this site,
to be bullied, threatened or insulted. But I'll certainly not participate in
a kind of "white delinquency", which is defined by segregating those who
offend you. There are languages we do not understand. There is this character
I love - St. Blaise. He is usually recognised as a protector against throat
ailments, but he was also a protector of wild animals, with which he would
speak and treat them if they were injured. No one understood how he did such
things. He finishes his life being arrested and tortured by having his flesh
torn with iron combs and rakes, after which he was beheaded. Those who did
that were people who did not concern only with themselves. No, they had a
vision of how society should be. And Blaise had another vision, a far more
interesting, intriguing, misterious and promising one. At least, that's
what I feel. Let's keep on writing... shall we? -
-
Dear Mr. Plumeister,
This is hardly a troll's work... it is a finest example of mediocrity. You take things too seriously, but I think I like you. No, I won't insult you. If you really knew me, you wouldn't have all this work: I understand complicated things with the minimum amount of words. As you may check on some of my comments, I never read big poems - and this was too extense... I lack patience to bear inutile things. I really would like to meet you one of these days, but since that's impossible, these will be my last words.
Please do accept a friendly hug from
Custodio Maia Thalassos-Bettencourt. -
-
I am rather tired of your assumptions, second handed guessing and incorrect information. No one made anyone archive any poems. You slander me, yet I respond with information. It is getting old, and you seem to be one of the only people still trying to drag this on and on.
I have IMed Kevin about the archived poems. I will request that any information about them get sent straight to you. OR, here's an idea....you can IM Kevin youself, since you think I'm playing favorites. I've yet to understand why you've neglected to contact him seeing as though you're assuming I'm 'on the take'. -
-
Which part of "I cannot delete archived poems" are you not quite understanding? I think it's a fairly understandable statement, but one you're overlooking because then it shows that I've been telling the truth. Same thing happened with the image on a poet page, which could only be deleted by Kevin, yet you ignored my repeated saying of that until Kevin himself told you the same thing.
When you first(at the beginning) complained about his poems, nothing was mentioned about archived poems. You only mentioned his 'poems'. I've always thought(like many ohters here), that regular members could not view someone elses archived poems, so I had no reason to check his. Assuming that I asked him to archive anything is a slight against me.
If you do a 'Noodleesque' poem about anyone, then it will be deleted. If you do one and archive it, then refuse to unarchive and delete, you will find yourself site banned for a week.....you will not be treated any differently than any other site member.....even though you already have. You have received far more warnings than you should have. The regular amount of warnings is one... you had, according to your file, three official warnings before your three day ban. If I treated you the same as any other member, then you would be well on your way for a one month ban.
Thinking that we have your passwords is incorrect. I don't have anyone's (except mine) password. The system holds that. When you forget a password, you ask the system that it be sent. -
-
Forget it, Barb. He's convinced that you're deliberately doing whatever, and no amount of factual accounting is going to steer him away from it. Such conviction would be endearing if it weren't so misplaced.
-
-
"I did a little offensive poetry of my own in bombastic fashion guess who was always one of my first readers on every new poem I posted thereafter? That's right? DING!DING!DING!DING! You guessed it: Barb."
Yeah, I was the first to read it...after someone sent in a TICKET about it. Amazingly enough, some people do know how to send in tickets regarding offensive material. They do not assume that I scour through every poem, comment and board post made on here.
I can go back through the tickets, and count the amounts that anyone oter than you who complained about Uncle Noodle and twisted sac..... what people tell you in e-mail, and actual facts are completely different.
You may lack faith in me, but I don't see you contacting anyone else on this site about issues you have. -
-
Interesting how you can see who is reading your works, but others cannot. Do you have some special powers that show that I have been to your poems? (which, I haven't) Please, stop being paranoid. You're wrapping yourself up in so much 'she must do this, because I think she is' that you're weaving falsehoods into truth. You've mentioned before that you get paranoid and love conspiracy theories...stop making one out of me.
You believe what you want to believe. Nothing I, nor anyone else says, is going to change what you believe...and quite frankly, I'm getting tired of constantly having to repeat myself, yet you continue to call me a liar, and someone who favors a troll over another one.
If you wish to leave this site, then do so. You may find one more to your liking. There is no one holding you hostage here. No one is forcing you to log on day after day. In fact, when Uncle Noodle was here, no one was forcing you to log on then, either. It was your choice to come in, read any insults/poems, and respond to them. -
-
Well, you got me there. No, I did not know about the 'views' link. On my computer(old, crappy thing...I'm still on Win98 if you can believe it), half the links on this site do not appear. I'm told that a better computer(even with Win98), or Firefox would show them, but the computer hates firefox, and a new computer...??? yeah...normal bills come first.
But, thanks to you, I've looked at the 'views' on my poems, and I've seen that a certain someone was viewing my poems over time. Should I assume that since no comment was made, that that certain person was looking them over, trying to find something wrong with them? Or were they just reading a poem on their own time?
To be a moderator, one has to know how to take insults without losing your temper, and how to handle situations without acting like a spoiled immature brat. It is a lot harder than you, or anyone else would think. Although, if you are indeed serious, then you would have to apply to Kevin, or AnnD.
-
-
Oh, and by the way, Sharepoetry and Allpoetry are two separate sites. The moderators there have nothing to do with the site here.
-
-
Hard to respond when people don't send the message in the first place. The only messages that I received(besides from you, Dave or one other poet) were the ones who IMed me after I had mentioned on a poem that I had to know about issues before I could handle them.

I love the assumption that I'm a pussy who'll walk away. And you're so darned cute when you're angry.
In fact, I probably *would* say, "What're we, in fifth grade?" only I'd be right in the offender's face while saying it. Nice try though, ace, keep 'em comin'. Your gung-ho and completely mindless attitude will take you far. -
-
Lessons in affected bravado from a man who reacts to infantile poetry in an equally infantile manner, will wonders never cease?
The "mindless" comment was an assessment (rather on the mark, I might add) of your overblown reaction to this Noodle character. Take exception if you must, I really don't care. I don't know this Noodle cat, but if he got you this riled up over what amounts to absolutely nothing then he can't be all that bad. You, on the other hand... well, what can be said about you that you haven't already amply demonstrated here?
Ciao,

Once again, and, I'll put it in capital letters since you seem to be missing this each and every time I post it: I CANNOT DELETE SOMEONE'S POEMS FROM ARCHIVE.
I have IMed Kevin about it, and asked that he remove them. Perhaps you too could IM Kevin about them.
-
-
-
People actually took offense to this kind of poetry? What're we, in fifth grade?

Confused as you, Al
Personal attacks of an extremely graphic, violent and gratuitously insulting nature have no place on a site such as this. I must agree with Plumeister that it borders the farcical that these personal slurs and attacks perpetrated on Plumeister, Dave Ochs, Maikhana and many others are not deleted ASAP.
I am dumbfounded as to why such conscientious contributors to sharepoetry as they so obviously are ( both in work submitted and avid reading of other`s works accompanied by a plethora of insightful and helpful (especially in Plumeister`s case!) reviews) do not receive the priority they deserve and that (technical quibbles aside) this cannot be rectified so we can all return to the matter at hand: producing, reading and critiquing poetry!
If the problem is solely of a technical quality then OUTSOURCE the bloody thing!
Retain the services of a programmer of proficient ability, inducement and time to sort this out.
I`m not sure who to post this to where it will make a difference, Al, but please feel free to forward any comments of mine to whoever or whereever, if you think they might be at all helpful.

PS: With a appellation such as automaticPILATE you can`t expect anything but hand-washing of other folks travails, can you.
-
-
What's farcical is the incredibly puerile manner in which people who have been "offended" are trying to take a fellow poet to task.
As for the "Pilate" remark, I'm surprised: surely a poet of your stature is familiar with the concept of a "play on words", yes?

I am tired
I am so tired of this discussion... If I say that uncle Noodle is a wonderful poet, may be I'll be banned. Why? Because I have to suffer from other people's disgraces? No way! I have the right to choose not being a troll: neither Noodle's way, neither Plumeister's way! But I must admit: I prefer the genuine way. Lately, I'be been reading a variety of poems which "socially" criticize other poets or their attitudes on this site - some of them have really enlightening titles: soft, discrete, intelectual as it gets. I would advise Mr. Uncle Noodle to write an explaining note before his poems... by doing so, you'll get no punish at all. I do not know you Mr. Noodle, but if you're looking for sample text for that, please check on Plumeister's long and "unreadable" poem dedicated to me... it's so easy! Please say something like: "Maikhana, I never meant to hurt you. By doing this I am just expressing my anger and disapproval towards your too sweet poetry" - Mr. Noodle you'll never be tossed out, I promise you. By the way, that photo with a cat, entitled "Maikhana", just made me laugh, laugh and laugh - I though I could hear the cat on that image! And I am no troll, because trolls do not use words. And these are just words, words, words. Now I am going to sleep and forget about all this. Goodnight to you all.

Hmmm
While I admire and support both the liberal levels of tolerance and freedom of expression (no filters on expletives f.ex) on this site, I am extremely adverse towards infantile distractions away from the task at hand. The task at hand being, as I understand it, improving our poetry by writing, reading, critiquing and being critiqued. To do these things well also requires dedication and to learn requires an open yet mature environment where good feedback can flourish.
This is not a question of either liking or disliking noodles "work" or style, (which personally I`ve seen far gutsier and compelling examples of than his trite pathetic "cry for attention" prose)or about the fact that some people might be a little perturbed by his anal-fixation.
Though a recent-comer to this site I have trawled quite a bit and there is no doubt in my mind that noodle is a "troll". Which for me simply means a sad individual who can only get his rocks off by pissing off others and lapping up thereafter the attention this engenders.
Controversy is fine but who the hell wants to discuss items of interest with a frustrated child? Either you discuss at their level in their way OR you wait till they`re older.
Though personally I have nothing to speak but praise for the treatment I`ve received by moderators and members of share poetry I can perfectly well relate to the ire several bastions of this site express and it IS borderline disgraceful if indeed personal slanderous attacks/postings aimed at among others Mr Ochs and Plumeister are still not deleted from this site.
I know it would piss me off no end, but then of course we poets are a sensitive bunch....
No, I must state categorically, I have no time or inclination to return puerile barbs, and though my friend Custodio s obvious suggestion may seem a solution, I`m quite sure even a novice would find many ways to circumvent this as I`ve seen other trolls do.
Finally I would like to add that it is vital that the moderators of this fine site are active and take a firm stance in response to the distracting and blatant personal attacks noodle has orchestrated (complaints or otherwise). Fence-sitting just gives the buttocks wooden splinters and creates insecurity for those labouring with a love of wordage down in the fox-hole trenches below.
I am sure there have been times many of us would like to add a comment to a pet hate-object (for me, badly written teenangst love poems, squeamishly embarrassing) along the lines of:
Thought perhaps the last line should`ve read: "And then I shoved my chainsaw up the virgin otter`s arse"
But we don`t because we`re too busy writing our own shit. Let noodle defecate his on allpoetry or elsewhere on some disreputable site for coprophiliacs. If he`s supposed to be banned then he should remain so.
Cheers
gG -
I suspect the noodles are getting their jollies by reading all these comments. Wasn't this attention his main need? Toss him out.
Terry -
-
omg, look how much attention he has gotten already, it's probebly what he wants
-
-
Yes but
we are the ones practicing our diatribal prose, Rodeogurl, and that makes it our gain
