 religion and moral stand

    I wish to register some opinion,that religion is so self rightious as i understand its stand on moral issues for example abortion,gays and priests dropping celibacy.My point is that they(so called religious) seem to be so obscessed with the self that is spurred by the religious doctrines which most inculcate the desire to value metaphysical expectations that revolve round self so much to the extend they(religious) or religion fails to address the human indespensable need of questioning the value of the others weakness and the real weaknes of self.
