Religion in my opinion is nothing more that a way to market God into a package that caters to what everyone is willing to give up or sacrifice in the service of the Lord almighty and therefore has nothing to do with what it really means to be with christ and live in faith and service to God.
My beliefs are that ‘Religion’ is not faith it is the watered down version of faith processed and packaged to make people feel that they are living a righteous life with the least amount of effort.
Faith requires sacrifice, trials, tribulations, suffering. Faith requires a commitment to your convictions to follow God and his teachings unconditionally.

So, faith requires fanaticism?

lol

No, life requires fanaticism. You can be faithless and still believe in whatever you wish.

Yes, but then “we” have to deal with the ‘faithful’ who say since “we” are ‘faithless’ “we’re” going to burn in an ever-lasting hell.
Not that you’d say that, of course.

yeah i agree with that a bit. many people have a religion just to feel safe and righteous. they say they are christian and go to church on christmas and easter and that is it. faith is the true belief in something and being devoted and firm. i dont think it requires sacrifice, etc, but if you do that, it shows you are strong, have strong beliefs. i like when religions have rituals, that bring you and the community, or atleast friends, into the religion, being able to actually DO things…
