Atheists and christian rock

    This is more of an opinion, but...do you (assuming you're christian...if not you may not really help...) think it is wrong/ offensive or w/e when an atheist listens to christian music? Well christian rock to be exact.

    About as wrong as an atheist appreciating the beauty of Faure's requiem, or admiring Da Vinci's madonna on the rocks I guess.

    But you don't have to believe what someone is saying to appreciate the beauty of how they're saying it. That would be like saying you can't enjoy vegetarian food unless you're a vegetarian. A good meal is a good meal.

      And by extension I have no problem whatsoever with Christians enjoying Ani DiFranco, or Radiohead.

        And I do agree, but I still [heart] christian music...I just act like they're singing about a girl instead of jesus...

    That's a good thing!

    Atheists should be encouraged to listen to Christian music. Who knows? They may not go to church or listen to a preacher on TV, but if it speaks to them, great!
