Got a real problem here, as the Chatterbox has stopped working for me, although the equivalent one at AllPoetry does work. I am getting the error shown, and the CB itself now has a scroll bar down the right hand side (which does not appear on AP).
Anyone any ideas as to why this has started happening? I tried IM'ing Kevin, as I wasn't aware of this forum, but I've had no reply!

Do you use Windows by any chance? Weird things seem to happen to me too when I use Windows in my laptop.
I resurrected an ancient Linux desktop machine running Fedora. Even though a tad wheezy, when I click into AP or SP, it collects Firefox to do everything flawlessly here.

But what I can't understand is what is different between AllPoetry and SharePoetry!
Thanks for the input, Terry, but as I'm in an office environment, using Linux isn't an option for me!

The difference between AP and SP
--is mostly in its purpose. Although there are some flea-weight comments (some of them my own) most members are here to learn and to help, preferring that to being ego-stroked. Critiques are often at depth as well as length, and very helpful. There are no contests here. No trophies, and I have yet to find a good use for my points in Sharepoetry except perhaps to give them away.
About your being restricted to Windows, it would really help if Kevin were to realize many of us need help in solving some pretty heavy problems that come from the fact that Allpoetry is a LINUX-based site that actively attacks users of Windows. [Just to be able to toggle problem areas to Windows would help a lot.]
It has perennial unchanged errors for Windows. View comments in the FORUM here to see if/when some constant battles going back years have been corrected.
Designed to work with Linux and "tough bananas" for those using any other operating system, when I installed Firefox in my Windows computer, the mayhem was immediate, not only in my computer but in my website too. Firefox destroyed all formatting in my large Windows-based web domain, losing most of my history there since the earliest website years. I left chapter one of my abandoned novel as with the Firefox version, replacing the next seven back to Windows. In #1 no paragraphing remains. It still raises my blood pressure to remember the horrid YEAR to get back even such a small amount of current material. Don't get me started! Address http://www.mattaweb.ca/history.htm

Sigh. AP and SP have such great people here, and more benefits than griefs, or would have gone elsewhere long ago.

OK, becoming a little stressed here!
Slightly off point, there, I'm asking what is the difference between the CB in AllPoetry and SharePoetry, not the difference between the two sites. The CB works for me on AP, but on SP it doesn't! Can't anyone tell me the difference between their setup? -

The CB on Sharepoetry is working. Sometimes, clicking on the 'Chatterbox' above the CB will do wonders, since it brings you to a larger chat box.
Since the chat scrolls with every post, it differs from AP since that chat refreshes manually. If the CB isn't working here, you may need to update your javascript or make sure you have Flash 8 installed, since that's what the site uses. -
the CB in sharepoetry is 'live', so you'll see it update immediately when someone responds. It's a bit more advanced and uses the flash plugin.
If you can get the main chatroom to work, the chatterbox should work. Perhaps you need to install the flash plugin.

I have plain ol' Internet Explorer 7.0 on my computer(and Windows XP), and I have no problem with any of the sites. I wouldn't use firefox if I was paid.
