on To Hell And Back by dave ochs, on January 27love this poem man, expressed thoughts I've had myself in a way I haven't yet managed to.

I've only ever been to one poetry reading in an 'anarchist art cafe', a fat 30 year old man wearing bold rimmed glasses read out about how he didn't want to grow up and how much he hated his job. It wasn't great poetry but at least he had a bit of heart.
I only went to that because my friend was playing his guitar on the same night, I don't know people who go to poetry readings really and right now I'm back in my hometown which is basically the kind of place you don't have poetry readings in. Or if you do they're lead by middle aged women. I suppose one day I might try and ask to do a read somewhere, I think I'd have to make sure it's somewhere I'd never see the people in again though.
