Papyrus : adieu? on May 16Iphigene,
i miss u already. and everyone else that has been taking a break. i can name about five right off the top of my head, and now that i think about it, maybe even ten.
but that is life. like Tsar Josef said, we are "migrant beings."
i don't doubt we'll all be back again, and after a while, this place will be vibrant as ever.
enjoy the summer. keep in touch.
best,
Pap

Hey Andrea,
Its good to know that you found the tone 'strangely alluring.' I was feeling rather sour when i wrote this and i despise clingers. Makes my skin crawl. Lol. Glad this little experiments work for people.

There is strength and 'guardian'-like tone to the speaker. In my head, it sounds though that the speakers voice is trying to stay steady even if it often cracks, holding back tears. The reassurance the voice offers is amazing. I suppose reassurance from ones self, a wish of luck to oneself is stronger. However, like your other poem, this touches on a darkness, as it tries to live out a light. Interesting poem and subject.
