I don't watch tv, but I read a lot.
I'm a loner by nature. But I love meeting poets and other artistic people.
I love commentating on other's poems, but I'm not educated enough about poetry to make a accademic critique. I know, "Everyone's a critic." How true.
Like most poets, I'm sensitive, and I try to hide it as best I can. Society chews up sensitive people and spits them out. But I'm trying not to let it grind it out of me.
I like dark, angsty, Gothic poetry. I'm a Romantic at heart. I also like absurdist poetry, like John Lennon's In His Own Write and A Spanner in the Works. I also love Edward Lear and Ronald Dahl.
I'm fascinated by the poetry of World War One. My favorite poem is In Flander's Field's and Anthem for a Doomed Youth.
The Beatles taught me everything I know.
I'm learning how to play the guitar because someday I would like to be a singer/songwriter. I gotta learn how to play and how to sing first. And loose 1000 pounds.

My Poetry

Will you be the one
I write poetry for? -
Midnight is for poetry,
when undernourished imagination feasts. -
English professors want lyrical ballads.
Zines want bombastic bitching. -
Sometimes I wish I was dead.
No more worries to trouble my head.

Plumeister : Hey babs... on February 17you're awesome. I love your work and rhyme. Ahhhh, someone that worships rhyme as I do. And you do it so well. I've read what I've seen of your work and really enjoyed it. I'll be commenting when I have more time to do a fitting review, but nice work. I enjoyed every one.

on Mushroom Meditation by tirwander, on October 4I love Mushroom Meditations, but I am confused. It's not your fault; I've missed the point before. Is this poem taken from your perspective as a mushroom? Is this poem from the mushroom's point of view? Sorry to be so dumb, but that's what I thought. I'll read it again to see if it clicks. It is a very enjoyable poem by the way!

on The Awfully Unfortunate Adventures of Perpetually Pissed-Off Poppy by ladyjanew, on August 8Sorry it took so long to comment on this. Thanks for commenting! Yes, I was pissed off when I wrote this, but at least I'm not stalking the crazy bint. I'd rather have literary revenge.
