NightengaleShow poetry

So, I've been in a bit of a writing slump for the past year! I've been focusing more on the science and mathematic classes to finish my degree. So I'm back and plan to be checking out everyone's poetry!

A little update on my life: I've applied for a college in Carnforth, England. It's called Capernwray Bible School and it's a freakin castle too! lol so hopefully i'll get in and be able to travel and experience Europe and a plethora of cultures.

"To seek a girl that I will wed" - i find it somewhat interesting that you said "a girl" instead of "the girl". are you implying something here, such as there isn't just one girl who could suffice as a bride, or that she might not be the only one you will wed in your lifetime?

"She was the girl who'd always dwelt
Incognito in my dreams" - one of my fav. parts

The idea this poem suggests i find so shallow, indeed. i don't believe in the perfect mate. love blinds each person from the others flaws in the sense that we accept them for who they are...that's the beauty of love.

i enjoyed reading this. the general concept is well defined and voiced well. also, thanks for th cultural background.

I like this poem actually...when I read it I'm reminded why I wrote it, which always makes me smile. How naive, we all once were!

Thanks for your comments! I haven't been on lately, and I think I'll be coming back in mid june, when all finals, projects, and three graduations are over with. Thanks again!
