Thier Life

Sad, a boy, depressed and crying, angry at everything
Angry at the way the world treats him, yet no one hears.

Happy, a girl, alive and well. Living to dream
Living to love life, living to milk it for all its worth.

Joking, a man, youthful and immature, hiding the serious side he has
Because he knows that normal people don’t see the things he does.

Confident, a woman, young and determined, as she walks to work everyday
Knowing the promotion is going to be hers.

Running, a mother, abused and hurting, as her kids complain of sore feet
After a desperate dash to escape her drunk husband.

High, a man, tired yet unable to sleep. Remembering her smile
Before she took her life.

Bored, a student, in love and heartbroken, as she grieves
Her lost boyfriend, to her ex-best friend.

Depressed, a father. Weary and weakening. As he fights his wife
For the custody of their three children.

Alone, a girl, scared and timid. Afraid to seek help
To put him behind bars after he held a knife at her throat.

Poor, a couple, in love and in debt. As they buy their dream house
And turn it into a home.

Rich, a teenager, searching and trying. To be something
Anything that will make her absent parents proud.

Lost, a boy, abandoned and neglected. As he runs away
From his world of internal misery.
