Breath for Success

Dressed for success,
You walk with confidence.
Your deceiving appearance,
Will get you clearance.

Shiny shoes,
So pointed, they could kill.

Your little keychain,
Your charms, well hid.

Take one step towards the door,
The glass building, with the well waxed floors.

It’s your big day!
Your shot at the real thing.

You with your black suit,
And your mind all in synch

This time will be great
You’ve got it down:
How to sound calm,
When inside you’ve drowned.

This time you know,
Just how to look right.
Sit up straight,
Such a pretty sight.

This time you’ve got it written in ink.
Your Listerine strip,
With its bitter sting.

You stand outside the door,
With pocket-pack in hand,
Written in bold,
Is your last reprimand.

On the little packet,
Is the key to your dream,
And in your mind you quickly reconvene.

You hold the green plastic casing
And you kindly caress,
The little printed tagline:
“Breath for Success”

    Job Interview

I get the impression the person is headed for another interview on a possibly long list of interviews. I get the impression it's a woman. I also think she might have a bad habit, possible one that makes it difficult to simply sit calmly. She trying to convince herself that if she can just look the part she'll be fine. She's searching for confidince but doesn't really have any. I think she's telling herself this is her last chance not to give into the temptation that is nagging at her. I'm sure what to make of the little printed tagline: "Breath for Success" but then again I'm not very good at imagery and such so I'm probably completely wrong about the whole thing. I don't know, but I'm curious to find out if you have time to let me know what you were meaning.
