Over

Summer’s ending too soon
And I don’t think I can deal
It feels like it’s still June
Like time’s been unreal

There’s so much to miss
Like camp-day bliss
And a few things to dread
Such as school up ahead

My campers are outstanding
And I’ve watched them grow
Though they have been demanding
They make my smile glow

But soon camp will end
Leaving no time to spend
With the kids I adore
Back to life once more

So I’m upset
That school will begin
But I won’t forget
The counselor within

And when summer returns
With few school concerns
I’ll be ready to start
And play my camp part
