Beloved Friend

I am happy to be near you. You offer a kind of friendship that feels safe like being wrapped in my favorite blanket, with the best book I’ve read a hundred times, snuggled in an overstuffed arm chair on a rainy Saturday morning.

The way you look back at me is as familiar as seeing my own reflection at that exact moment I remember how beautiful and perfect God has made me to be. The kiss of heaven is curled upon your joyful, smiling lips; the cosmic wonders of a million galaxies shine through your beautiful skin, and the boundless clarity of a hundred carat diamond resides in your eyes.

Your finger-tip lightly skims the side of my pointer finger, a touch that gently brings me forth to the reality that we are sitting across a table from one another talking about our spiritual discoveries.

It is easy to be with you; to let you look intently into my eyes without cowering, to let my spirit ride free of these earthly confines of fear and sadness, to share my beliefs without being judged. You are a divine messenger, a humble and glorious vessel, a clear channel and a beloved friend. Together we will change the world.
