Heartbeat pounding in my ears
Legs unwilling to move for me
Sweat dripping from places unknown before
Throat drying up from lack of hydration
I see steps and steps before me
They seem never ending
Though I see my destination
It seems so unachievable from here
Why I chose this path is a mystery
I knew I couldn't make it up
Yet I decided upon it nonetheless
I failed myself from the beginning
Negative thinking is a powerful thing
It is a magic force the dooms you
Remove each thought from your mind
Start again, positive this time
I will make it up Massada
Eventually
It may take long but I am capable
For I have strength of mind
