My Girl

I will walk with you hand in hand
Showing you off with pride.
When you have had a bad day,
Look around and I will be by your side.

I will tell you jokes and stories,
Some you may have already heard.
I will be your man: tall and strong
Listening to your every word.

I will always look you in the eyes
Witnessing beauty first hand.
I will stroke your hair and rub your back
And carry you through the sand.

As the stars glimmer from above
We will dance the night away.
Our bodies touching, eyes gazing,
Slowly as we sway.

I will kiss your neck
And lay with you as we sleep.
I will gaze at you with a smile
As my heart takes a giant leap.

I will keep you safe forever
And protect you like a million dollar pearl.
I will hold you tight knowing
That I can call you…My Girl!
