Glory fills my soul,
God's mercy and forgiveness,
The flame for my coal.
As if floating up,
High upon the ethereal palm,
I feel lifted. Rejuvinated.
Numerous the attempts to fail.
Yet never allowed, always
Pulled away in an instant.
Countless attempts to bail.
To throw in the towel,
Only to have it thrown right back.
Some so full of anger.
Some brimming with lies.
Others, to apathetic for either.
How do we make it?
Where will we end up?
Always pushing us on...
Never letting me truly fail.
Refusing my resignation.
Always one more chance.
My cell waits, confused.
"Shouldn't he be here?"
"How is he still out there?"
It must be my coal.
When you light it you see,
My true being. Me.
Always failing.
Always loving.
Regretful of the past.
Wants to feel that always.
The light you bring.
The peace.
Possible? Yes.
Plausible? Maybe.
It takes a true choice.
One is generally afraid.
Afraid of such an idea.
Change.
Maybe I will continue.
Just bounce back and forth.
Sometimes alight, other times smoldered.
In the end it will crash.
But it's so much easier.
Same routine.
We will see.
Coal or fire?
What will I pick?

You definitly need to keep writing.
I like this much better than the, what were they called? Anyway the three line so many syllable whatevers. They may be short and to the point. But this is much more expressive and far more enlightening. I like the form but I would break that strick three line form in the fourtenth stanza and split that last line in two at the comma. Other poets would tell you different. Most of the time I like an even rhythm caused by an even number of beats per line. But that doesn't really apply to this type of poem. That's one of the things I'm learning out here. Different things apply to different poems. This has a nice tit for tat feel about it. I suggest you read other poets work and leave comments. They in turn will give you feedback on theirs. Not only that but by reading their poems and the comments you will gain both inspiration and insight on different methods. Keep up the good work.
