That sunny afternoon--minds collecting
Our bodies scaled the mountainslope
The Organs breathed a song so deep
The hawk climbed high to hear it
And I perching on
A boulder
Bald and flightless
Remained a stone
To dwell in that great ocean
Time--so it goes
Has it's way of passing
Another layer upon two more
Eroded down the mountain
That balmy evening--far after noon
The world spun
I slammed it down
Like water running a downward slope
Leaking from the rooftop
I laughed beneath the river-storm
Bald and flightless
I awoke in breaking dawn
Cast grey stones into the sea
The music breathed so heavily
I now know it was meant for me
I climbed to hear it.
