Early February.
The daylight now is enduring longer
And fair spring's equinox scarce weeks away;
So then much longer does the daylight stay.
With bright sunlight here appearing stronger.
Taking this as clear cause might one infer,
That not that far, we are, from June or May.
Some heed to realities we should pay;
We need not thus with ourselves to confer;
For quite some way is the season from spring
And sharp winter’s cold chills could soon return,
Which frequently do frost, ice and snow bring.
Can we therefore be careful to discern,
We’re not yet so close to summer’s mingling,
That we seek pre-spring’s bleak draughts to unlearn?
Author notes
I've heard this poem discribed as representing the often 'blue' month of February. But what do you think?

is it a sonnet
all in a question of style and reason , or was that confusion. So is it a sonnet???
So much rests upon the style and rhythm and that of perhaps personal taste -

Think this does qualify as a sonnet poettothecars. But it may perhaps be different to everybody's idea of one.
