I, am myself
One; alone
For I know what I know
And none can be done

I watch my life pass me by
Wondering what is nigh
I laugh a soft laugh
A cry with tears

For the ones I hold so dear
I pass through the open door
To spread my wings to implore
I feel as a river softly rushing by

Through the trees I try
Thus, alone I cannot go
Must I be the one to follow
I doubt not that which is set

That I may have a future yet
Day by Day I take myself
And try to make my wealth
Thus, alone I am one

Me, Myself, and I are none

I like how you put it through the dogs eyes it give it new perspective and i take it as animals feel the same way humans do... Our animals are as much part of this country as we are so don't we need to realize that they will stand by us just like a friend or "soldier" would in war. I like this poem because it shows that everyone must have love for something or they would be bitter and cold and shun the world, which some people do, but i believe that it's not how we think... We don't know what's in a dog's mind how are we suppose to know what anyone else is thinking... The world is a great mystery and only one do i hope we can find the greatest treasures it holds for us..

    LOVE IT!

What really defines a poet? Is it how well everything is located on the page, the soothing words that mean something to everyone, or the thought of know you wrote something you like even if someone else doesn't. I believe that you don't have to have a college major in english or writting to be a poet. I think poetry comes from the person you ARE! Poetry isn't just words on paper scribbled in with a pen... They are meaningful thoughts that describe you, as a person. I Love this poem because it show that who care if you know where to put the commas, semicolons, and ellipses... all that matters is that if comes from you and that you know what it means. Everyone has the potential to write; just most people don't because they have been told that they can't because of all the rules in the english language... Well I say forget the rules and write let the passion flow from your fingertips and tell the world what you mean. WONDERFUL POEM! ABSOULUTLY LOVE IT!
