Purple espritShow poetry

Living in Switzerland in a lovely valley with two lakes, I am married and we have one daughter and one son as well as two lovely grandchildren.
Reading, writing and languages have always been my passion and I wrote a few little story books for children in German.
My mother tongue is German and yet I have not been successful with my German poems, so with the encouragement of family and wonderful friends I started writing poetry in English rather late, after age 50, during a hard time nursing my very sick mother.
Poetry helps me be strong for all who need me and it carries me through.

Walking in the mountains here and once a year along the Coastlines of England gives me all the inspiration for my poems and if I can stir a smile or a joyful moment to anybody who reads my shared thoughts, then I am more than happy. I am aware that any talent is given from our Creator and I hope I can honour Him by writing.

This poem is simply awesome and points out what can give a world of peace and inner tranquil to us. I wrote a poem "The sound of Silence" and although the two poems are completely in a different style, they carry the same message and wisdom. Silence is listening into yourself, being aware of divine guidance in life, feeling the Yin and Yang the balance between mind, heart and soul.
I simply love this your poem, thank you for sharing, it is a precious write, I bow my head.

Kevin, I don't think this needs continuation at all. It is so poignant and infact tells a story within these few lines. It is touching as well as leaves deep thoughts and it says so much about feelings, hopes and expectations.
Infact I think it is quite a precious little piece and I enjoyed reading it, thank you. Ulla
