Hi friends and fellow lovers of words great and small.

I am a retired Web Designer and singer/songwriter who has and will always have a passion for writing poetry.

I have seven wonderful children, (most of which have grown) and are living their lives to the best of their ability.

I use to love playing fast pitch softball and soccer and coaching adult teams as well as kids teams. Unfortunately I can no longer do those things as my body will not allow me to anymore. I abused myself growing up. I guess I was wrong, I'm not unbreakable....ugh!

I served in the military for eight years and retired from that early due to medical reasons.

My family is all very musical playing several instruments as well as vocals. This has been past down to most all of our children as it was past down to me.

I love animals and currently have 2 Dogs and 2 Horses.

I change my picture from time to time. I use a picture that defines how my life is going at that particular time. Some days I may use my own but I wouldn't want to scare any of you off before you have an opportunity to read who I am on the inside first. LoL

Welcome to sharepoetry. This is a small, yet rapidly growing community of talented poets. Most of the folks here are fairly friendly most of the time. If you have any questions feel free to holler. I'm happy to help anytime I can. Enjoy your stay. I have compiled a list of helpful hints I will send to you that would help explain a few things. They explain the point system and how to win a free membership and things like that. Let me know if you if you find them helpful and if you think of anything that could be added. Just a note, this is not an automated message. It is a personal welcome from a fellow poet. Welcome.

    Heartfelt

Thankyou for sharing this poem with us. It was very touching. I have a brother older than I and I am no spring chicken. It will hurt when it is his time to go.
